• 2018.3.10: Grace Salt (1779 - 1854)

  Oil painting of Grace Salt (nee Smithies) who was the wife of Daniel Salt (the Wool Stapler) mother of Sir Titus Salt. Mrs Salt is dressed in a bonnet with a silk shawl decorated with flowers over her dress.

  Oil painting of Daniel Salt who was the husband of Grace Salt and the father of Sir Titus Salt. Daniel Salt was originally a farmer and set up in business as a wool stapler.

  Coloured print of Saltaire with the Mill in the forground and the village behind. Mills by Warren & Lizars.
• 2018.41.4: Saltaire Mills from the North West

  Framed brown and green toned print of 'Saltaire Mills from the North West. The image shows very few houses but the Mill is complete along with the church and Victoria Hall. Victoria Hall was completed in 1869 so this image must be from the 1870's before the building of the village was complete.

  A watercolour painting of wooden toilet in Saltaire Congregational Church. The cistern is visible on the left. The toilet was due to be removed and the painting was made before the removal. There are notes on the back of the painting by the artist (who was a teenager at the time) about when the work was done and why. See also 2024.3.

  An oil painting by local artist Kay Davison of George Street in Saltaire. The United Reformed Church is visible in the centre. Kay Dyson was taught oil painting by Sidney Jackson. She was a staucnh supporter of the Bradford Arts Club and the Shipley Art Club.
