- A publc park in Saltaire was opened in 1871. It was originally called Saltaire Park. In 1920 it was renamed 'Roberts Park' in memory of Bertram Foster Roberts, the recently-deceased son of the then-owner Sir James Roberts. James Roberts gifted the park to Bradford Corporation at the same time.
