• Saltaire Cricket Club

  Saltaire Cricket Club was founded in 1869 and still operates today. It's home has always been Roberts (orginally Saltaire) Park where it has a scenic pitch and pavillion with a backdrop of the River Aire, Salts Mill and the United Reformed Church. Among its more famous players was the England bowler Sydney Barnes who played for the club between 1915 and 1925 and helped Saltaire win the Bradford League three times. Jim Laker, the outstanding England spin bowler of the 1950s, lived in Shipley, attended the Salt High School and played for the Cricket Club in the late 1930s. The club remains very active today playing in the Aire & Wharefdale Senior Cricket League.
• Fairbairn, William

  William was a leading British engineer and was contracted by Titus Salt to design the interior of Salts Mill. William's significant engineering skills enabled the mill to operate smoothly and perform all the functions that took raw materials through the series of processes required to make high quality cloth. William was responsible for the Mill's iron structure, the lay-out of the machinery, the design and manufacture of the boilers, steam engines and line-shafting. He also designed a tubular-girder bridge over the river Aire that runs through the village. Fairbairn published his plans for the mill in a book that ran to four editions and was translated into French and Spanish. He was justly proud of Salts Mill, his largest work of mill construction.

  A collection of over 200 photographs and drawings of Saltaire village, including descriptions and historical contexts. The photographs are created from before the village's creation (1850) to the end of World War Two (1945).

• 2025.86: Meet me Gwen on Shipley Glen

  A musical score with lyrics of the song 'Meet me Gwen on Shipley Glen'. Music by Jimmy Sutton and lyrics by Reg Bolton. The song is about two young lovers arranging to meet at a specific rock ('Number 9') on Shipley Glen, a green open space near Saltaire. Reg Bolton was a well lnown writer and perfomer of comedic songs.

  Original 'Salts Belwarp' posters. Belwarp was a company based in Argentina and became a subsidiary of Salts. According to an advert for Belwarp fabric in 1919 it was a quality suiting which did not fade.
