Mr Thomas asked the price of the two mills and land. Mr Sutton asked about the boathouse and land. Mr Badland stated people felt the new firm should take the park as it was used by their tenants and workers. The firm bought 50 houses in Saltaire from Mt Thornton for £6250. Mr Willy send noticed to allotments near Masonâ??s Mill.

Milner Field sold to Cinema Picture Com. Wanted light & so more power. Wanted power station and Mr Baker pointed out Higher Hirst Mill. So may buy the land there incl. 9 cottages. Does he raise the allotment rents?

2018.1: Silver salver for Samuel Wilson

The Auction house described the salver as a ' George III Silver presentation Salver by David Bell [small DB silver mark], London [sheild silver mark] 1761 [F silver mark] of circular form with a gadrooned and shell border, raised on three scroll feet, later presentation inscription and floral engraved field diameter 30 cm, weight 27oz.

2018.41.4: Saltaire Mills from the North West

Framed brown and green toned print of 'Saltaire Mills from the North West. The image shows very few houses but the Mill is complete along with the church and Victoria Hall. Victoria Hall was completed in 1869 so this image must be from the 1870's before the building of the village was complete.

Small paper notebook. Used to make notes regarding textile technical details. Probably copied from a published technical book. Aslo probably used as an aide-memoir diary for some of his work. References to: twists, pulley, cylinders, Knob Yarn, Loop Yarn, Spiral Yarn, Flake Yarn. Changing wheel dimensions etc.
