The book has 20 chapters and includes 4 illustrations, including one of Crow's Nest Lightcliffe and of the Manor House in Morley where Sir Titus was born.

2022.19: Yorkshire: Pictorial memoriesA book of black and white photographs from the commercial archive of Francis Frith and Company. Frith establshed a business in th 1860s to photograph every town and village in Britain and provide them for the public to buy. The book includes views of many places across Yorkshire. It includes two photographs of Saltaire on page 28: the railway station with a train arriving and Salts Mill visible in the background; Saltaire (later Roberts) Park along the promenade with the bandstand visible and two women with a pram in the foreground.

Hanson, DonaldDonald Hanson was the chair and chief executive of Illingworth, Morris the last owners of Salts Mill as a textiles business in the 1980s. His great grandfather was Chief Engineer for Sir Titus Salt.

Milner, DorisDoris was born in Saltaire, around 1912. Her family lived in Constance Street and she attended Albert Road School. Doris married a man who farmed at the site now occupied by Buttershaw School. Doris's father and grandfather both worked in Salts Mill. Doris had a great love for Saltaire and still kept her interest in the area until she died in 2006. Doris kindly donated a collection of 6 books she had received as prizes from the Saltaire Congregational Church for attending Sunday School.

Morrell, GeorgeGeorge arrived in Saltaire in 1860 to be an assistant teacher in the Factory School that provided part-time education for some of the children working in Salts Mill. By the early 1870s he was the headmaster, later moving to be head of the nearby Shipley Central School. George was a member of the Saltaire Congregational Church and long-serving Superintendent of its magnificent Sunday School. A life-long teetotaller, George promoted responsible drinking and was one of the founders of the Shipley Temperance Union in 1892, becoming President in 1902. He finally retired after 45 years of service. He was obviously fondly thought of and well respected. A magnificent illuminated presentation book was given to him on retirement, paid for by public subscription and to which Sir James Roberts and many eminent past-students contributed.

Saltaire Arts TrailSaltaire Arts Trail is a community arts event sually held every year in May. The Trail presents artworks from both emerging and established artists in venues throughout Saltaire, including private residences as well as Salts Mill, public buildings and outdoor spaces.

Saltaire Cricket ClubSaltaire Cricket Club was founded in 1869 and still operates today. It's home has always been Roberts (orginally Saltaire) Park where it has a scenic pitch and pavillion with a backdrop of the River Aire, Salts Mill and the United Reformed Church. Among its more famous players was the England bowler Sydney Barnes who played for the club between 1915 and 1925 and helped Saltaire win the Bradford League three times. Jim Laker, the outstanding England spin bowler of the 1950s, lived in Shipley, attended the Salt High School and played for the Cricket Club in the late 1930s. The club remains very active today playing in the Aire & Wharefdale Senior Cricket League.

2019.9.2.2: Town planShowing the town and works of Saltaire and Saltaire Park. From an original plan by Lockwood and Mawson c.1870. The park was under construction in 1870, but was always part of the Lockwood and Mawsons plan for the Town, so this may be a plan for the future or it may be to show the completed work. The corner site at the west end of Gordon Terrace is not yet developed. This site was bought by Sir Titus in 1874.
