F1a-310: Cash From the Coal Measures - Mining & Brick-making in Heaton Woods & NorthcliffeAn article from the Bradford Antiquary (published by the Bradford Antiquarian Society) no. 17, 1923. History of the Northcliffe area, near to Saltaire, which had seen much mining activty from the seventeenth century up to the early twentieth century. The area became converted to a public park and playing fields in 1920 enabled by a donation from Sir Norman Rae.

H2-122: Map of the Milner Field estatePlan of the Milner Field, Stubbing House and Trench Estates copied by Horsfall and Williams Surveyors, Halifax. Hand-written text in the centre of the map reads 'reduced plan referred to by this deed'. The Milner Field estate has been coloured green with the exception of one lot which has been coloured red. Sir Titus Salt Esquire is listed as the owner of lands adjacent to Trench Estate and Saltaire is shown on the map.

2024.65: Memorandum and suggestions 1883 Original paper, handwritten document relating to the Salt family business. The memorandum suggests an arrangement for the setting up of a fund out of the income and profits of Sir Titus Salt, Bart. and Sons Co. Ltd. The fund is designed to to pay for various liabilities on the compnay and its directors and also to provide a regular income for the share and debenture holders (largely the Salt family). A detailed intepretation of the document by local historian David King is available in item A1-125.
