  Copy of the will of Daniel Salt & codicil to the will dated 14th December 1843. Daniel Salt (6.5.1781 - 28.12.1843) was a wool stapler and was the father of Sir Titus Salt. His wife was Grace Smithies who Daniel married in 5.7.1802.

  An original copy of the Will of Sir Titus Salt, this was created by the solicitors, possibly to give to the Executors. The dates of the documents and the executors names are laid out on the front page. The will is laid out with the wording in one column and a précis of the paragraph on the right hand side. It has its original envelope date stamped Bristol and is sealed with red sealing wax and an alpaca stamp.

Registered at the West Riding Registry of Deeds 17th January 1921. The conveyance includes a coloured plan of the land referenced in the deed

This will is not annotaed with sub titles in the margin but each paragraph is numbered. It is signed on every page apart from the first by Catherine Salt.

  Sale catalogue for the sale of Milner Field Estate, prepared by C.H. Lord - Estate Agent, for sale by Gaunt Foster which did not go ahead as planning permission was not granted. The catalogue includes image of the house both externally and internally at the time of sale, with some images from the Salts family. The details include who the Architect was and who owned the land prior to the Salts. However the Salts family sold the estate in 1903 to James Roberts, but there is no mention of him in in this document. The document looks later in style than the dated 1922 document but further research is requied to establish an accurate date.
