• 2018.51: Tree planting by Princess Beatrice

  A group photograph recording the planting of a tree by Princess Beatrice and her husband Prince Henry of Battenburg when they visited Saltaire to preside at the opening of the new School of Art and Science in 1887. The Princess is at the front centre, with Prince Henry on her right and Titus Salt Junior on her left. Three other dignitaries stand behind them. They are stood partly on grass, partly on a rug next to a tree which has just been planted. The location may be Saltaire Park (now Roberts Park) although the Princess was staying at Milner Field, the home of Titus Salt Junior, so it may have been there.

  Promotional booklet for the Salt company. Booklet is similar to others from the same time but has text in French. Contains photographs of processes in the mill. Has two pages of introductory text.
• 2018.56: Saltaire

  Souvenir booklet for the visit of King George V and Queen Mary on 29 May 1918 to Salts Mill. The Mill had recently been purchased from James Roberts by a group of local businessmen whose photographs are featured in the booklet. It also contains photographs of Salts Mill, and a brief textual history of the mill and Saltaire. There is a plan of the mill site with different areas identified. The booklet contains a brief desciption, photographs of processes in the mill, and a plan of the mill showing the location of various processes. In the centre pages there is an artists impression of the King and QUeen in the Burling and Mending room.
• 2018.57: Cloth from Great Britain

  Promotional brochure for the subsidary companies of Illingworth, Morris Group. There is some brief introductory text. There are individual double-page presentations for each of the companies. One page features samples of cloth produced by the company. The other page is a photograph of a 'typical' scene from the Britain of the time. Salts (Saltaire) Limited is featured on pages 32-33. There is an index of overseas agents at the back of hte book.
• 2018.58: Photograph of disused lift

  A card folder containing a photograph of a disused lift. There are metal concertina doors with various pieces of wood and electrial wiring visible.
• 2018.59: Drawings of historic buildings

  A collection of six black and white drawings of historic buildings in the Bradford district. Includes one drawing of Saltaire Mills.

• 2018.60: Educational Potential of Saltaire World Heritage Site

  A set of four documents related to a project that investigatged the opporunities for educational activities by using the Saltaire World Heritage Site. Includes: 1. A consultant's report on the educational potential of Saltaire 2. Notes of an inaugural meeting for 'Saltaire Learning' that was established to take forward the consultants' ideas 3. A learning action plan based on the consultant's report 4. A 'Scenario' document, laying out 3 different possibilities for educational activities
• 2018.60.1: Scoping the Educational Potential of Saltaire World Heritage Site

  A report from CHE Associates, consultants on the possibility of using Saltaire World Heritage Site for educational activities. The report details the wide consultation with local teachers and trainee teachers, partner organisations already delivering learning at the site and other World Heritage Site (WHS) and UNESCO staff. It provides recommendations for how Saltaire could be used and the likely users.
• 2018.60.2: Meeting notes for Saltaire Learning

  Minutes of the inuagural meeting of 'Saltaire Learning', 11 June 2010. Saltaire Learning was a group of interested parties from Saltaire and the wider Bradford area and from City of Bradford Metroplitan District Council brought together to act on the recommendations of a report on the educational potential of Saltaire (see 2018.60.1). The minutes deal with the establishment and operation of the group and an outline of the initial work on the educational potential ideas.
• 2018.60.3: Learning action plan

  A plan developed by 'Saltaire Learning' built on the recommendations of a report on the educational potential of Saltaire (see 2018.60.1). The plan is in five parts, each of which has short, medium and long-term goals.
• 2018.60.4: Educationl potential scenarios

  Outline of 5 scenarios for implementing the recommendations of a report on the educational potential of Saltaire (see 2018.60.1), produced by 'Saltaire Learning'. The scenarios are: 1. Working with college students at Shipley College 2. Joint partnership working on the theme of TItus Salt and his entrepreneurial vision 3. Develop partnerhsip work with linking schools to support work with UNESCO shared themes 4. Telling decision maker about the good work taking place at Saltaire 5.   A book about the history of the Titus Salt's company and the development of Saltaire village. It includes photographs and contemporary drawings of the village.

  An information pack for students learning about various parts of Saltaire life when the village was first built, such as transport, shopping and recreational activities.
