- Clive Woods was a local historian, and leading campaigner for the preservation of Saltaire's heritage. He sadly died in 2007, but his large and diverse collection reflects his interests in everything to do with Saltaire.

D3-031a: Sunday with the Suffragettes A photocopy of a newspaper article from the Bradford Daily Telegraph describing a suffragette meeting on Shipley Glen on Sunday 31 May 1908. The leading activist Emmelinbe Pankhurst, (Honorary Secretary of the Women's Soical and Political Union) addressed a large crowd. Mary Gawthorpe, Nellie Kenny, Adela Pankhurst and "Mrs Baines and others" also spoke. Large number of police were present to keep order, from what is reported as being a rowdy crowd. -
