2024.148.1: Saltaire Tennis Club to meet a very special milestone celebrating their centenary yearA brief, typewritten account of the history of the Salts Tennis Club in Saltaire to celebrate the centenary of its founding in 2023. The Club is situated on the edge of the village near to the RIver Aire. The land was purchased in 1922 by the owners of Salts Mill to provide recreational facilities for employees.

Byles started as a teacher when the first headmistress was Medina Griffiths. Byles became the second headmistress in 1886 and continued a programme of progressive, wide education for her students. -
