The first page is a translation of 3 pages of a letter signed by B.S Watson Charge' d'Affaires in Japan. Pages 2 and 3 are a translation of a letter signed by Queen Victoria, countersigned by Granville. The letters relate to ambassadors extraordinary and associate ambassadors, including the appointment of Tomomi Iwakura as Ambassador Extraordinary.

2024.99.6: Arrival of Iwakura MIssion at SaltaireA photocopy of pages 79 and 80 from 'Saltaire and its founder, Sir Titus Salt, Bart' by Abraham Holroyd published 1873. The pages detail the arrival of Japanese Ambassadors and Suite of the Iwakura MIssion at Saltaire on 25th October 1872. Also included is a handwritten envelope asking whether Nakki could find anything about this visit from the Japanese side.
