• 2025.14: Kelly's directory of Bradford and suburbs 1912

  A facsimile copy of Kelly's directory covering Bradford and the surrounding area including Baildon and Shipley (which included Saltaire). Comprises a brief introduction to Bradford and then listings: an alphabetical street list with occupants and their trades or form of employment; an alphabetical inhabitants list; a list of trades and tradespeople.

• 2024.143: Old Ordnance Survey Map Shipley & Saltaire 1906

  A reproduction of the 1906 Ordnance Survey Map, part of the Godfrey Edition. Yorkshire Sheet 201.11. On the back of the map there is modern text of a brief history of Shipley from 1775 up to the first years of the twentieth century. There is also a reproduction of a street index of Shipley from 1906.

  A facsimile reproduction of Harrod's catgalogue from 1895. Harrod's is an up-market department store in London. The catalogue contains Descriptions, illustrations and costs of all the items available in the store. Includes, household goods, clothing, funerary goods, haberdashery, pharmaceuticals, and office goods.

  Discusses three model industrail villages built in the second half of the nineteenth century. Includes consideration fo their different architectural styles. Has chapeters on: Saltaire (italianate style), Akroydon (in Halifax, gothic style); Bedford Park (west London - QUeen Anne Revival)

  Ferniehurst was a grand mansion in Baildon, near Saltaire. It was built as the home of Edward Salt, the third son of Sir Titus, who was a director of Sir Titus Salt Bart. Sons and Company Limited. The house was demolished and is now mainly a recreational area.

• 2023.2: The life and work of Mohammed Aziz 1929-

  A personal history given by Aziz of his migrating to the United Kingdom to work in the textile industry. Aziz worked at Salts Mill in the 1980s during its last few years before closure. Aziz gave this account of his life to Saltaire Collection volunteer Maggie Smith.
