D3-031a: Sunday with the Suffragettes A photocopy of a newspaper article from the Bradford Daily Telegraph describing a suffragette meeting on Shipley Glen on Sunday 31 May 1908. The leading activist Emmelinbe Pankhurst, (Honorary Secretary of the Women's Soical and Political Union) addressed a large crowd. Mary Gawthorpe, Nellie Kenny, Adela Pankhurst and 'Mrs Baines and others' also spoke. Large number of police were present to keep order, from what is reported as being a rowdy crowd. -

D2-056: Cycling medal A metal medal awarded by Saltaire Cycling Club to Reuben Jagger for participation in a Saltaire to Morecambe road race. Engraved writing on the reverse states 'Club handicap. Saltaire to Morecambe. May 19th 1894. Reuben Jagger. 3rd Fastest time'. There is a further engraved writing of 'Fattorini & Sons, Bradford' - the makers of the medal. -
