Description: Photograph of Royal Tree planting at Milner Field. The photograph shows the Prince of Wales (the future Edward VII) standing with a cigraette watching his wif Princess Alexandra planting a tree. A group of people on the right includes Titus Salt Junior, his wife Catherine and their children Harold, Lawrence and Isabel. Their fourth child Gordon can be seen at the extreme right but this is a later amendment to the photograph. Gordon was absent at Winchester School when the event occurred and he was later added to the photograph, replacing another person who was originally visible.
